Updated: 2022-08-30 - Change in distro, terminal emulator and file manager.

Not a lot of tech I use. Honestly for a person growing up with computers, I am a pretty techless person.

Some stuff I change sometimes, like my distro or desktop environment/window manager.

Desktop: Just a refurbished ThinkCentre 92p

E-book reader: Pocketbook Touch Lux 4

Mobile: Samsung S5610 - my trusty phone of 8 years, you can throw it, but it will not break. Screen is still clean.

Operating System

Linux distro: Slackware 15.0 - this is kick ass!

Window manager: xmonad, a tiling window manager made with haskell. Currently still getting familiar with it.

Terminal emulator: kitty.

Web browser: LibreWolf.

Password manager: KeePassXC - never use your browsers password manager, or paper.

Launcher, wallpaper setter: dmenu, chwall script with feh

Text editor and other stuff: Emacs.

Bookmark manager: buku or org-capture mode in Emacs

RSS reader: Elfeed with Emacs

Video player: mpv

Youtube: Freetube

Download videos or mp3 from youtube: Youtube-dl - you can use it too view videos directly, with mpv

File manager: lf, or mc (midnight commander). I use udiskie for automounting external drives.

Music player: ncmpcpp and mpd, or Qmmp with original WinAmp skin

Gaming stuff: I use GOG most of the time, but if it's not there Steam (Proton too). If I use Wine I create separate prefixes, or use Lutris, occasionally Dosbox. I use Heroic Launcher for Epic store games.

Screen color temperature: sct

Graphic editing: Inkscape and GIMP

Image viewer: sxiv

Bittorrent: Transmission, because I can't make rtorrent work.

As of fall 2021 I have returned to fedi, but rarely use it. you can find me: parasurv

Hosted on Neocities and created with Emacs, the world best text editor, operating system. This website doesn't track you. I don't use any javascript or other scripts. I don't store any information about the visitors. It's just pure old fashioned HTML. Some parts of the site is not up-to-date design wise. I may or may not update them in the future. I don't really support mobile stuff, but I bet if you disable the little CSS I have, you can read the site perfectly.
